Currently, Shakudani stone is not mined.
As a result, the Shakudani stones are being forgotten by people.
In order to pass on Fukui's unique stone culture to future generations,
The "Revived Shakudani Stone: Fukui Gem" series was born.
We collected Shakudani stones that had been left in old houses in Fukui and repurposed them into "tableware".
We sincerely hope that it will once again be shown in people's lives and be passed on to future generations.

Asakura Clan Ruins Mini Karamon Gate

This is an elaborate miniature (1/15 scale) of the Karamon Gate at the Ichijodani Asakura Clan Ruins (Fukui City), a national special historic site, made from Shakudani stone. It is also available for purchase, so please feel free to contact us.
